i am sahm to dd who is nearly 1 year, my q is this, do 1 year olds need friends and socialistaion?i am very shy myself, but dd seems to be like her dad very outgoing.she loves being around other babies but is too small to play with them. should i have her in  creche 1 day a week, is she missing out by being at homw ith me.,none of my friends have small babies, and she only sees her cousins once every couple of months.

Socialisation is very important, she is at that stage now where she begins to notice other children and is interested in what they do.  I wouldnt say she needs to go to a creche or anything just maybe a mother and toddler group close to where you live.  They are usually held one morning a week which should be plenty.

I bring my DD to one of these once a week, I find its good for me too... dont go stirr crazy in the house lol. Wink
