heres one for all the new mummies,

What was youre birthing experience like:)

Heres mine

well where do i begin,
baby number one DS, was anything but a normal pregnancey. I was bed bound from about 6 months with pre-ecclampsia, gestaional diabeties and sever pubic sympasis and nearly died on one occasion.  Because of that i had to be induced at 38weeks.  Having gone through 24 hours of labour and getting an epidural 12 hours into it (big happy face ) I only progressed to 6cm because DS head was coming out sideways.  He started to become distressed and had major heart deccelerations so i was rushed into theatre for a c-section.  Thankfully everyone came out normal and healthy, except for my bladder lol.  Because his head was stuck in such a way he cut off my urethra and my bladder got so big i had nerve damage, and still do.  Now i dont know wheni need to pee lol.  I get an uncomfortabel feeling in my tummy thats the only way i know its full. fun.

My second DS, i also had gestational diabeties and was on insulin 4 times a day.  Nearly died on that one too, having gone hypo once to the point where i wasnt making any sence lol, nothing new there.  But again at 39 weeks my womb ruptured and i was sent into theatre.  Everyone came out healthy and well.

As you can see from above im defo done having babies.  Adoption is my only other route if i want to stay alive.  Even the doctors said its not a good idea anymore.  To that end HUBBY HAS BEEN FIXED lol. Wink

bloody heck,lol Smiley

mine isn't quite so bad, infact i think its nearly text book.  Labor for 10 hours, pushing for 1hour and half.  She came out 7lbs6oz, had an epidural so didnt feel a thing.  It was quite an uneventful birth.  Aside from coming out of it with a gorgeous little girl.

HI,YOu had a rough time for sure!OUch! I've had 3 deliveries,1st a baby boy 8lbs 14oz,17hrs labour, entonox didn't work so had epidural, epidural only worked down one side of my tummy, got exhausted as baby didnt progress during pushing stage, was pushing 2hours when I got into distress and babies heartrate decelerated so had episiotomy and high forceps delivery! It was agony! After wards I had Postpartum haemorrhage and I was just about to go to theatre when it stopped. My baby got sick then due to breathing problems due to damage to the bones in his nose and he was rushed to icu in crumlin hospital Dublin and had a small operation.
2nd delivery a girl 9lbs 13oz! 15 hrs labour, had epidural that worked!!!!! Normal vaginal delivery after 45minutes pushing,Had a few stitches but it was grand as I felt no pain.
3rd a baby boy,9lbs 7oz,manged with entonox until 4cms dilated but then had epidural which worked on tummy but not in vaginal area so still had to use entonox, but it was manageable.Labour was 23hours!!!! yes this is surprising as labours generally get shorter each time! but was pushing only 30minutes,no stitches required.
Yes labour is no walk in the park but it is worth it in the end! I'm even considering doing it again.
